About Me
My name is Rena, and I am a mum to three children. I have been a teacher for twenty years and am the current leader, SENCO and DSL at an Alternative Provision, having supported lots of families in securing an EHCP and the right setting for their child. I have also completed Level 1-3 with IPSEA on SEND Law.
My middle daughter Scarlett is currently at a specialist school for young people with a specific learning need, such as Dyslexia. She has a diagnosis of Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Sensory Processing Disorder and Autism. It was a long fight for her EHCP, but my daughter is finally thriving, happy and able to access her learning.
Scarlett is the driving force behind MiraSEND. I want to be able to support families to navigate this difficult process with a personal approach.
